What is involved in a typical inspection?
The Inspection carefully and systematically evaluates the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and ventilation
systems utilized by the home. The simpler mechanical details of the home will also be discussed, for example the windows, doors, skylights roofing, drainage, siding, appliances as well as many other areas of importance. We will go over safety items and environmental concerns. Questions about plans to renovate or additional mechanical system or system upgrades are gladly discussed. Any questions you may have we will answer
When will I get my Report?
You will receive a detailed report immediately after the inspection.
A written Summary of the report highlighting pertinent
inspection information with photos will be provided Via E-mail
(usually within 24hrs), Fax or Regular Mail. Our reports is an easy read, it comes in a binder with dividers that make it easy to access any area of the home. It is a combination of specific comments made by the inspector, checklists, and reference material shown in each division. The binder contains may extras that we hope you will keep handy to reference in the future. You will also receive a termite inspection
report.
Should I be there for the Inspection?
We absolutely encourage the client to attend. The time that the inspector spends with the instructor can be a truly valuable experience. We recommend that you follow your inspector through every room in the house asking as many questions as possible, it's your time so make the best of it. You will learn about the condition of the home as well as the maintenance requirements and safety concerns. The inspector will really try to show critical needs of the home. Try to spend this time with the inspector with as little distractions as possible.
How Long Does the Inspection take?
A thorough inspection for the typical home will take two to three hours. Older homes and homes with more equipment take longer. If you cannot attend the entire inspection we would like you to put aside some time to discuss the inspection when possible.
Are there any guarantees with the inspection?
When you purchase our services, it is a professional opinion based on what the inspector can see at the time of the inspection. What is hidden or inaccessible at the time of inspection is not within the scope of the inspection. Unfortunately we are not an insurance company and cannot cover damages that happen over time. It is recommended that you take another careful look at the property during your final walkthrough. We offer a thorough checklist in the inspection report package for you to follow and help you with your final walkthrough.
Do you offer consultation after the inspection?
Our policy is to offer free phone consultation, as a courtesy to answer any questions related to the inspection. For example: you may have a question on a piece equipment in need upgrading or repair.
We would however charge for a site visit which would be discussed ahead of time. Your inspection report will be on file at our office for reference.
Do you give prices for repairs or system upgrades?
Ballpark figures are verbally discussed, but we would recommend that you contact a local contractor for more definitive value of repairs. Knowing the cost of repairs can help in negotiating or budgeting purposes.
How do I get my laboratory reports for additional services?
Depending of kind of test, the results are mailed as soon as possible, faxing
or E-mail is also available.

the south shore of Nassau County Long Island New York. We
do inspections in the five boroughs of the city as well as all
of Long Island.
